Train the Trainers is an immersive, evidence-based workshop that equips first responders, health professionals, and educators with the knowledge and tools needed to address the leading cause of unintentional teen injury and death in the United States. The training focuses on preventing reckless and distracted driving through shared roadway responsibility, behavior change strategies, and proven countermeasures that work.

Participants explore current research and trends in teen safety, develop a clear understanding of the four primary types of distraction, and learn how everyday decisions influence safety outcomes for drivers, passengers, and others who share the roadway. The workshop emphasizes practical, real-world application and strategies that can be confidently implemented in schools, agencies, and community settings.

Training content includes Graduated Driver Licensing laws; the importance of focused driving, seat belt use in every seating position, driving at speeds appropriate for conditions, and speaking up when situations feel unsafe. Participants also learn how to engage teens and the adults who influence them using approaches grounded in data, behavioral science, and Positive Community Norming.

Train the Trainers is designed to move beyond information sharing and toward meaningful implementation. Participants leave prepared to deliver ITD programs with fidelity, confidence, and purpose. Through this training, Impact Teen Drivers has built a nationwide network of trusted ambassadors committed to prevention, education, and saving lives.
