Programs That Save Lives
Evidence-based teen driver safety education proven to reduce crashes and save lives
Impact Teen Drivers is a service-driven organization dedicated to preventing the number one cause of serious injury and death for young people. We work in partnership with schools, families, first responders, and community organizations to support safer decision-making and shared responsibility among all roadway users.
Our evidence-based programs are designed to serve communities by providing practical, research-informed education that addresses how everyday choices impact not only the individual, but everyone who shares the roadway. Through this shared roadway responsibility framework, young people learn that their actions as drivers, passengers, pedestrians, bicyclists, or micromobility users can have lasting consequences for themselves and others.
Education That Serves Communities
Impact Teen Drivers programs are grounded in proven countermeasures that work and delivered with the goal of supporting those on the front lines of youth education and safety. We do not use scare tactics or shock-based messaging. Instead, we provide developmentally appropriate, interactive education that strengthens situational awareness, reinforces safe driving and riding behaviors, and empowers individuals to speak up when they feel unsafe.
Our role is to serve as a trusted partner by equipping educators, families, and community leaders with tools that are easy to implement, culturally relevant, and adaptable to local needs while maintaining program fidelity and quality.
Evidence-Based and People-Centered
Every Impact Teen Drivers program is informed by research, including the Theory of Planned Behavior, and incorporates Positive Community Norming to help shift attitudes and perceived norms. By emphasizing that most people want to do the right thing, our programs support behavior change that is reinforced by peers, families, and communities.
Programming addresses key risk factors such as distraction, speeding, seat belt use, peer pressure, and impairment, while reinforcing shared roadway responsibility and safer decision-making.
Serving Today and Building for Tomorrow
Impact Teen Drivers is committed to serving communities today while building safer habits for the future. Our programs are designed for real-world use in classrooms, community settings, and public engagement efforts, supporting consistent messaging across environments.
By working alongside trusted adults and youth leaders, we help communities move from awareness to action, creating a culture of responsibility, care, and shared commitment to safety that extends far beyond a single lesson or event.
